Now this is an event we love to promote and hope that anyone in the Eugene/Springfield Oregon area participates in such a great event.
“One of the best parts about living in the Pacific Northwest is the wonderful landscape and the fact that you can just walk outside your house and walk a trail, climb a rock face, or even float a river.”
“But it takes a little help from everyone to keep Oregon the beautiful spectacle that it is.”
Alternative 103.7 NRQ and Leinenkugel’s have teamed up to sponsor a day of floating and park clean up at the end. What a great way to show your support and love for nature.
On Saturday, August 17 people will be meeting at Clearwater Park in Springfield and FLOAT the Willamette River down to Island Park, where a park cleaning will take place. They have an after-party to celebrate with everyone that participates.
We wish we could be there, but since we can’t make it, you can still join the fun.
Everyone is meeting at 10 am at The Mohawk Tavern. Then make their way to Clearwater Park for the float. The floaters are all set to hit the water at noon on Saturday 8.17.19.
After the float ends at Island Park, there is a scheduled cleanup from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Anyone is welcome to skip the float (We highly suggest you get in the water and float…) and show up at the park at 2:30 pm for the park clean up. All are welcome! http://www.nrq.com/summershandy/
